The divide in this country has me actually questioning Abraham Lincoln’s wisdom when he got the confederate states to rejoin the union back in 1868. Maybe we should’ve just let ‘em go.
And don’t get me wrong- I love the south. My whole family hails from Louisiana and Mississippi. But it’s not as simple as North vs South.
It’s “I’m OK You’re OK” vs KKK.
It’s progressive vs paranoid.
It’s education vs segregation.
It’s the golden rule vs the lure of the gold.
But mostly, it’s love vs hate.
